Hamilton (lower-body) is out on Friday vs. Winnipeg and is still being evaluated.

Hamilton was limited to only 5:15 time-on-ice in Tuesday's 4-3 loss to the Dallas Stars, exiting the contest in the first period due to a lower-body injury. Hamilton has 40 points (9G / 31A) in 63 games, including 15 points on the powerplay. After Hamilton left the game on Tuesday, Luke Hughes occupied his spot on New Jersey's top powerplay unit.

Gibson was sidelined for a few games last week due to an injury and returns to the sidelines, exiting Wednesday's contest with a lower-body injury. The 31-year-old Gibson has been solid between the pipes this season but has battled through several injuries, posting a 2.82 GAA and .909 SV% in 26 games (9-10-2).

Hughes underwent shoulder surgery on Wednesday and will be placed on LTIR.

The Devils received terrible news on Wednesday, announcing that Hughes will miss the remainder of the 2024-25 season after undergoing shoulder surgery. The 23-year-old Hughes suffered the injury on Sunday after an awkward collision with Jack Hughes that sent him into the boards. Hughes ends the season with 70 points (27G / 43A) in 62 games and is expected to make a full recovery before training camp for next season.

Tanev has missed the last three games, will miss a fourth on Wednesday, but could return to the lineup on Saturday against the Colorado Avalanche. The 35-year-old Tanev is averaging 19:48 time-on-ice, recording 17 points (2G / 15A) and 151 blocks in 57 games this season.
