Forwards Jussi Jokinen and Tim Wallace have been placed on waivers, Hurricanes management confirmed on Tuesday.

Jokinen has posted 10 points (5g, 5a) in 30 games with the Hurricanes. In total, he’s logged 285 games and 184 points (67g, 117a) with Carolina since joining the team on Feb. 9, 2009. Jokinen is in the second year of a three-year contract, worth $3 million per year. He is due to become an unrestricted free agent in the summer of 2014.

Canes place Boychuk on waivers.

This is the fourth time Boychuk has been on waivers this season. He was claimed by the Hurricanes yesterday, but has to clear waivers in order to report to the AHL. He has one goal and one assist in 13 games this season.

Nashville placed Boychuk on Waivers

If Boychuk gets claimed, it will be his fourth team this season. He has been waived by the Hurricanes, Penguins and now the Predators. There is obviously something about his game that these NHL teams don't like. He has just two points in 13 games this season.

Toronto placed M.Komisarek on Waivers.

Komisarek carries a $4.5 million cap-hit so it is unlikely that he will be claimed by another team. He has been a healthy scratch for most of the season so there is no surprise that he has been placed on waivers. He has no points in four games this season.
