Stone has missed the last eight games but it looks like he could return tomorrow vs. the Predators. Stone’s return would be a huge boost to the Senators as he still leads the team in points (44) despite missing 2.5 weeks.
Stone was on the ice this morning but told reporters he won’t play vs. New Jersey but he has not ruled out a possible return on Thursday. This will be the eighth consecutive game that Stone has missed—the Senators are 2-5-0 without him during that time.
Stone missed the last three games before the All-Star break and will miss some more time as the Senators return to action on Tuesday. Stone’s move to IR is retroactive to one week ago, so he’s eligible to come off of IR whenever he is healthy, so technically he could play vs. the Hurricanes.
