Stone will miss his ninth consecutive game with a knee injury despite talking about potentially retuning tonight vs. the Predators. Monitor his status heading into Saturday’s game in Toronto.
Stone has missed the last eight games but it looks like he could return tomorrow vs. the Predators. Stone’s return would be a huge boost to the Senators as he still leads the team in points (44) despite missing 2.5 weeks.
Stone was on the ice this morning but told reporters he won’t play vs. New Jersey but he has not ruled out a possible return on Thursday. This will be the eighth consecutive game that Stone has missed—the Senators are 2-5-0 without him during that time.
Stone missed the last three games before the All-Star break and will miss some more time as the Senators return to action on Tuesday. Stone’s move to IR is retroactive to one week ago, so he’s eligible to come off of IR whenever he is healthy, so technically he could play vs. the Hurricanes.
Stone will miss his second straight games with a lower-body injury that he suffered vs. the Maple Leafs on Saturday. Filip Chlapik who replaced Stone last night, is also hurt so the Senators may have to call up another forward or roll with seven defensemen tonight.
Stone left the Senators morning skate early and will not play tonight in Minnesota. Stone joins J-G Pageau and Nate Thompson as injured Senators forwards—that means Filip Chlapik, Colin White and Chris DiDomenico will all be in the lineup tonight.
Senators General Manager Pierre Dorion said Stone won’t play “soon” and his injury should be “measured in weeks.” This is a big blow to the Senators’ late-season push for the Atlantic Division and to fantasy owners alike.
Stone was hurt in Thursday’s game in Arizona and will come out of the lineup tonight in Colorado. Phil Varone was recalled from Binghamton (AHL) yesterday and will replace Stone in the lineup tonight.
Stone missed Tuesday’s game in New Jersey with a neck injury that he suffered on a hit from Jacob Trouba on Sunday. Stone was fortunate to avoid a concussion on the play and could end up only missing two games. Monitor his status leading up to the Sunday-Monday back-to-back.
