Samoskevich has not appeared in Florida's lineup since Game 3 of their opening-round series vs. Tampa Bay but will draw back into the Panthers' lineup for Game 2 in Toronto on Wednesday. The 22-year-old will replace A.J. Greer on Florida's fourth line. In 72 regular-season games this season, Samoskevich had 15 goals and 31 points in his rookie campaign.

If he's healthy, Samoskevich is expected to open the season on the Panthers' roster and skate on the third line next to Anton Lundell and Eetu Luostarinen.

Samoskevich was penciled in to start the season on the Panthers' third line at the start of the preseason but it's unclear if he'll be ready for the start of the regular season until he's cleared for contact.


Samoskevich played three games with the Panthers earlier this season, being held off the scoresheet, but has spent most of the season with the Charlotte Checkers of the AHL, tallying 22 points (9G / 13A) in 27 games. Samoskevich was the 24th overall pick of the Panthers in the 2021 NHL Entry Draft.
